Matsue History Museum
Matsue History Museum is located east of Matsue Castle. It has the exterior of a samurai residence and offers a fine view of the castle. The permanent exhibits include the construction of the castle and town of Matsue, with scale models, CG recreations, and actual archaeological remains; merchant life; and photographs and works of the Matsue beloved by Meiji era writer Lafcadio Hearn.
