Torretta Miyoshi exterior

Toretta Miyoshi

Toretta Miyoshi is a farmers’ market offering the remarkable bounty of the region’s agriculture. It stands at a crossroads on a gentle hillside in the southern suburbs of Miyoshi next to the Miyoshi Winery and Okuda Gensō art gallery.

The building is an airy modern structure featuring the timber which is also produced here. Offerings include a huge range of seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, as well as processed products, freshly baked breads and sweets, confections, and dairy products. Miyoshi’s brewing sector is also well represented with wine, sake, and craft beer. A small corner of the tightly packed shop is devoted to sewn products made of reused fabrics.

Next to the shop is a buffet restaurant serving a wide array of delicious offerings that display the Japanese virtuosity in the various methods of cooking vegetables. For an even more casual dining style, Toretta offers many boxed lunch options which you can enjoy at the tables on the grassy space in front of the establishment.
