Hiroshima city Atom Bomb dome

Atom Bomb Dome

The A-Bomb Dome is the ruin of the former Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, built in 1915. It’s the building closest to where the nuclear bomb exploded that remained partially standing. It was preserved as it was as a memorial to the casualties. Much work has been done to keep it standing.
