Overview

This tour visits two islands in Kagawa known for their art, Teshima and Naoshima. The installations include works by celebrated artists and architects Yayoi Kusama, AndĹŤ Tadao, and Lee Ufan. You move between the islands in the Seto Inland Sea by high-speed ferry. On the islands, you travel in a private vehicle with a guide.

Itinerary

  • You meet your guide and driver at Okayama Station and drive to Uno Port to board the ferry to the art island of Teshima, where you tour the island, visiting Teshima Art Museum and Les Archives du CĹ“ur. You take the ferry to Takamatsu where you stay at a hotel near the port. Dinner (not included) is at a local restaurant.

  • After breakfast, you leave your hotel and board the ferry to the art island of Naoshima. Here you visit Kusama Yayoi’s red pumpkin, the ChichĹ« Art Museum, the Benesse House museum, and the various preserved houses of the Art House Project. Then you take the ferry to Uno Port where the tour ends.
