Overview
Nestled deep in the mountains of Hiroshima Prefecture the Gōnokawa Canoe Park in Miyoshi is a base for rafting and canoeing on the Gōno River, the biggest river in Chūgoku region of western Japan. You can get deep into Japanese nature with a leisurely rafting adventure on the river. The Gōno River is relatively flat and deep, so you can enjoy the forest scenery sliding by and watch the birdlife around the river. The occasional rapids are exciting but not too strenuous. After the exertion of paddling down the river, relax in the hot spring baths at Kimita Onsen and enjoy a lavish meal with local sake, wine, or beer. This private tour can be booked from mid-April to November.
Who is this tour for?
This tour is for families and groups of friends who want to experience outdoor adventure and a relaxing stay at a hot spring with great food. Since it involves some physical exertion and getting wet, you must be reasonably fit and have clothing suitable for playing in the river.
